To that end, I’m thinking of ways to jazz up my own workouts and I think Tabata is one of the best ways do to that. These workouts are fast and hard, 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off, so there’s no time to think, no time to talk yourself out of it, no time to dwell on whatever winter misery we’re all dealing with. And the good news? Anyone can Tabata, beginners and veterans alike. You can make up your own by picking an exercise -It can be anything, cardio, strength or a combination – and doing that exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds and repeat that 8 times for a total of 4 minutes.
